Overview

Daylight Takeoffs LLC (“Daylight Takeoffs,” “we,” “us”) provides glazing quantity takeoff services to contractors bidding storefront and curtain wall scope. This page explains what information we collect through daylighttakeoffs.com, why we collect it, and what your rights are, including specific rights for California residents.

Information we collect

Through the “Request a takeoff” form: your name, company, email, phone (optional), scope selection, any plan set documents you upload, and any notes you include.

Automatically, through the site itself: basic page-view analytics (see “Analytics” below) and a bot-verification check on the intake form (see “Who we share it with” below).

We don't collect payment or financial account information through this site.

How we use it

To respond to your request with a scoped quote and turnaround estimate, and to communicate with you about an active or prospective job. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it, ever.

Who we share it with

Your submitted plan set and job details are used solely to prepare your takeoff, and are held to the same NDA standard we apply to every client. Two service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the site:

Cloudflare (Turnstile) runs a bot-verification check on the intake form. It may set a short-lived security cookie as part of that check; it isn't used to track you across other sites.

Vercel hosts the site and provides cookieless, aggregate page-view analytics. It doesn't identify individual visitors.

We don't run ad-tracking pixels, and we don't share your information with data brokers or marketers.

Data retention

We keep RFQ submissions and job files for as long as needed to quote and deliver the work, plus a reasonable period afterward for our own records. You can request deletion at any time. See “Contact” below.

Your choices

Email chris@daylighttakeoffs.com to review, correct, or delete information you've submitted, or to ask what we have on file. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

California residents

If you're a California resident, California law, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act, gives you specific rights over personal information collected through this site:

• •The right to know what personal information we've collected about you and why.
• •The right to request deletion of that information.
• •The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, which is moot here since we don't sell or share it.
• •The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these, email chris@daylighttakeoffs.com. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no common industry standard for how sites should interpret them.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for glazing contractors and general contractors, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect submitted information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
